Stephen Maynard Caliendo, associate professor of political science, was a featured speaker at the annual meeting of the
Central States Communication Association (CSCA) in Cincinnati, Ohio, April 14-18. He presented “(Far) Beyond the Classroom: A Broad Pedagogy for Race and Communication” in a Spotlight Session sponsored by the Intercultural Division of CSCA. Spotlight Sessions are designed to pay tribute to scholars who have made significant scholarly advances related to one or more of the Association’s divisions. In this case, Caliendo was honored as a co-investigator of The Project on Race in Political Communication for contributions to the field of rhetoric and intercultural communication.
