The Feb. 23 concert brings together several of the College’s ensembles, performing in every possible location—from the side balconies, aisles, sound chambers, side stairways, loft, stage and more—in Wentz Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m. The lineup includes the new Cardinal Chorus, conducted by Jacqueline Schutt; Concert Choir, led by visiting conductor Jon Warfel; String Ensemble directed by Mara Gallagher; Flute Choir directed by Marie Bennett; and solo saxophonist Lawrence Van Oyen and percussionist Benjamin Wahlund. The host performance group is the Women's Chorale with the Chamber Singers, conducted by Ramona Wis and accompanied by Barbara Vanderwall. “Explore the Sound II” follows last year's highly successful concert. Tickets are $5/adults and $3/students and senior citizens; call the North Central College Box Office at 630-637-SHOW (7469).
