Faculty and staff members are encouraged to mark their calendars and attend an information session about diversity on Friday, Jan. 8, from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Fireside Room at the Harold and Eva White Activities Center. Two staff members will give presentations. The training session is optional, however, reservations are requested. Viviana Kabbabe-Thompson, director of multicultural affairs, will discuss how stereotypes develop and some strategies and practical tools for building better relationships. Appelhans will discuss diversity as it relates to the workplace. Employees do not need to use training bank hours for this presentation.
