The campus community is invited to share in the Passover Seder Service led by Brian Hoffert, associate professor of religious studies and history and coordinator of East Asian studies, on Monday, April 9.
The event includes a tradition Seder meal prepared by Chartwells Food Service and will be held at 5:15 p.m. in Smith Hall at Old Main. RSVP to Lynn Pries, campus chaplain, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 630-637-5104 by noon Friday, April 6.
The Seder meal is free to students; staff and faculty are asked to contribute $15/person. The Seder is a Jewish celebration but is open to people of all faiths.
A Good Friday service is planned at noon April 6 in Koten Chapel at Kiekhofer Hall. The service will include readings from the scriptures and brief reflections on the events of the last week of Jesus’s earthly life. The Voices of Praise Gospel Choir and the FOCUS worship band will share their meditative music. All are welcome.
