T-shirt giveaway for students at Saturday’s games

Print Email Share

Members of the Legacy Program gave away FREE “Cardinal for Life” T-shirts to students on Jan. 19 at Kaufman Dining Hall and want to give away more.

This Saturday, Feb. 19, the Legacy Program Ambassadors will again hand out FREE T-shirts, and this time it will be during the men’s and women’s basketball games against Augustana. Join them in Gregory Arena from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. to cheer on the Cardinals and get your free shirt.

The purpose of this effort is to spread the message of giving back to North Central College. The Legacy Program recognizes the importance of alumni support and the direct impact this has on students’ education. A large part of student scholarship money comes from the Annual Fund, which is funded completely by the financial support of alumni and other donors.

The Legacy Program is comprised of nine campus leaders who are excited about North Central’s future and are celebrating 150 years of excellence. One of those members is Angie Snodgrass ’11, who serves as Legacy Program chair. She says, “We’re eager to encourage students and alumni to support North Central through financial giving and attending campus events. Our goal is to enhance the North Central community and provide opportunities for a lifelong connection to the Cardinal family.”

Hope to see YOU Saturday. Also, during halftime of the men’s basketball game, we’ll celebrate the Cardinal men’s program with the raising of the 2010 Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field National Championship banners.
