Karate classes, football games and weightlifting sessions; John loves athletics and fitness of all kinds. With the skills he picked up at North Central College, his passion will become a career.
“North Central College has taught me the importance of professionalism. In exercise science, networking is the key to finding an internship and moving up in the field,” he says.
Networking is a major focus of his college career. John regularly meets with professors to map his future and plans to work as an intern at a cardiovascular rehabilitation clinic his senior year.
After graduation, John will pursue a master’s degree in clinical exercise physiology. His goal is to rehabilitate children and adolescents with heart disease and other health problems.
“My advisors are always willing to answer additional questions and talk about anything related to exercise science and my future career choices,” he adds.
