A transfer student, Matt had no problem completing all he wanted to do and more as an athletic training major. “I wanted to pitch in college, but most schools won’t let athletic training majors play a sport. At North Central, you can.”
Also unique to North Central, says Matt, is working directly with athletes and logging hours of hands-on experience. “The faculty knows its stuff and helps you through the real-world experiences of taping and rehab so you’re more prepared than students at other schools.”
Matt landed the required 150-hour internship with Chicago Sky of the WBNA and ATI Physical Therapy. “I got this opportunity because faculty members know a ton of people. They can hook you up in whatever direction you want.”
Matt plans to attend graduate school and end up in a college or professional setting.
