Paving the way for your future.
What will it take to land that job you’ve always dreamed of? A survey by the National Association of Colleges and Employers reports that 70 percent of companies prefer new hires with internship experience. So how did North Central College’s Derek Sanderson ’13 land an opportunity with the Chicago Blackhawks? INROADS!
North Central is proud to partner with INROADS (http://www.inroads.org/) to offer underserved students with prestigious internships at some of the nation’s finest companies. The Princeton Review ranks INROADS as one of the top 10 internships in America, with the mission to develop and place talented minority students in business and industry and prepare them for corporate and community leadership.
In addition to a well-paying internship, INROADS offers students direct industry access, corporate mentorship, exposure to senior level professionals, and an increased potential for full-time hire after graduation. Students receive guidance before, during, and after the internship experience, including professional development workshops, monthly advising sessions, and opportunities for community service activities. Read about other North Central alumni who were INROADS interns, including Sunny Gill ’10, who gained experience at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and Carolina Hirsch ’11, who interned four summers with General Electric.
