1:00-3:00 P.M. GRADUATE PORTRAITS
Old Main lawn, rain location is Smith Hall
GradImages will photograph individual or family portraits of graduates in their cap and gown during this time. There are no preassigned times. Come anytime between 1-3 p.m. Meet on the Old Main lawn if you're interested. The rain location will be Smith Hall on the second floor of Old Main.
3:00-4:00 P.M. Cardinal First Graduation Recognition & Pinning Ceremony
Wentz Concert Hall
For all graduating first-generation students and their families. Graduating seniors should RSVP here by May 31.
4:00 P.M. PRESIDENT’S RECEPTION FOR GRADUATES
Wentz Concert Hall & Madden Theatre Lobbies
All graduates, their families, members of the faculty and staff and other Commencement guests are cordially invited to attend the President’s Reception honoring the Class of 2019 in the Wentz Concert Hall and Madden Theatre Lobbies. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served. Graduating students with North Central College identification are free. To ensure we can accommodate everyone, please let us know if you plan on attending. See the reception reservation form for further details.
6:15 P.M. BACCALAUREATE SERVICE
Wentz Concert Hall and Fine Arts Center
The Baccalaureate service is a significant ceremony, planned and conducted by the graduating class and Office of Ministry and Service. It is a way to celebrate accomplishments, offer personal reflections and acknowledge those who have contributed to the achievements of the graduates. The non-denominational ceremony provides an opportunity for all to share memories with the members of the Class of 2019 and their visions of the future. We encourage you and your family to attend this moving event. Students should arrive by 6 p.m. for lineup.
8:00 P.M. GRADUATION REHEARSAL — MANDATORY
Residence Hall/Recreation Center
This hour-long MANDATORY REHEARSAL will review the processional, the ceremony, the recessional and other important details of the Commencement exercises. Graduates need to arrive promptly at 7:45 p.m. at the Residence Hall/Recreation Center.
SATURDAY, JUNE 8, 2019
8:00 A.M. CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST
Kaufman Dining Hall
Join other graduates, their families and friends for a complimentary continental breakfast.
8:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. NORTH CENTRAL CAMPUS STORE OPEN OUTSIDE RES/REC
The Bookstore will also be open at 100 E. Jefferson from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Saturday.
9:00 A.M. LINEUP
Merner Field House
All graduates need to arrive dressed in cap and gown at Merner Field House by 9 a.m. to begin. Staff and junior marshals will assist graduates with this process. Cooperation of the graduates is essential for a smooth processional.
PROCESSIONAL 9:40 A.M.
Merner Field House and Residence Hall/Recreation Center
Graduates will begin the processional from Merner Field House into the Residence Hall/Recreation Center arena.
10:00 A.M. COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY
Residence Hall/Recreation Center
Seating in the Residence Hall/Recreation Center is on a first-come, first-served basis, with no tickets required. We encourage family and friends to arrive early to allow ample time to park and secure seating prior to the beginning of the processional at 9:40 a.m. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. The ceremony may also be viewed in our Wentz Concert Hall or online at northcentralcollege.edu/commencement.

12:30 P.M. POST-COMMENCEMENT RECEPTION
Outside Residence Hall/Recreation Center
Immediately following Commencement, all graduates, their families, guests, faculty and staff are invited to attend a reception, hosted by the North Central College Alumni Association, which will complete the Commencement weekend festivities.
1:30 P.M. ROTC COMMISSIONING CEREMONY
Smith Hall, Old Main 2nd floor
The Army ROTC Rolling Thunder Battalion will commission graduates entering the U.S. Army as second lieutenants.
Individuals with special needs requiring additional accommodations, please contact the Office of Business Operations at 630-637-5656 for assistance.
Immediately following the ceremony, June graduates may pick up their diplomas from the Registrar's staff in Merner Field House, barring any outstanding financial accounts.
RESIDENCE HALL CHECK-OUT REMINDER
Seniors must check out of their residence hall rooms by 5 p.m.
