The Naperville Winds

The Naperville Winds is a professionally-oriented ensemble committed to the finest performances of the most outstanding works of the wind band repertory. The Naperville Winds rehearses, performs, and records at North Central College’s world-class Wentz Concert Hall on its beautiful Naperville, Illinois campus.This group primarily comprises professional musicians, area music educators, and top North Central College student musicians. Location: Wentz Concert Hall & Fine Arts Center, Room 114
Rehearsals: Thursdays, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Chamber Players

Dr. Sean Kelley, Conductor

Based on the orchestral wind section, the audition-based Chamber Players performs the most celebrated wind repertoire from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary eras. Repertoire often includes works by Mozart, Beethoven, Strauss, Gounod, and Dvorak, among others. The ensemble rehearses 2 to 3 hours per week and performs at regular band program concerts as well as special events throughout North Central College and the Naperville area. Core instrumentation comprises flutes, oboes, clarinets, bassoons, and horns. For more information, please contact Dr. Sean Kelley.

Rehearsals: Thursdays, 6:15 to 8:15 pm

MUED Laboratory Band

Dr. Sean Kelley, Instructor

The Music Education Laboratory Band provides North Central's music education students with opportunities to improve their performance on, and pedagogical understanding of, their secondary and tertiary instruments. Students will also gain additional conducting experience and take part in seminars on wind band repertoire, arranging for school bands, issues facing the instrumental music educator, and other salient topics.
