Program Overview

Eligible participants must be at junior or senior level with a 3.0 GPA preferred.

With more than 7,500 students, Liverpool Hope University (Hope) offers American students the rare chance to study in a British city with very few other Americans. Home of The Beatles, Liverpool was named the fourth friendliest city in the world in 2014 by Rough Guide. Liverpool has a vibrant city center that boasts more museums than any U.K. city outside of London, along with two world-class soccer teams, Liverpool and Everton FC. Manchester is 30 minutes away and London is only two hours by train.

Students may enroll in courses in a richly varied curriculum, including psychology, English literature, theology and mathematics. Hope has a dedicated Arts Campus in the city center where study abroad students can take courses in the creative or performing arts. Accommodation is on a garden campus with an international student community, including five meals a week.

Alongside their academic classes, study abroad students can now complete a Certificate in Service and Leadership. This involves a minimum of 10 hours of volunteering with local projects and some workshops to develop leadership skills. There are many student-led clubs and societies to join, including a variety of sporting events and teams.
