New bike racks are everywhere

Oct 11, 2012

Whether you use a Cardinal Red Bike or your own personal bike to get around campus and town, there’s some exciting news. North Central recently added new bike racks at residence halls at Res/Rec, Patterson, Ward, Seybert and Kimmel halls and at academic buildings, including Kaufman Dining Hall, Pfeiffer Hall, Old Main, Harold and Eva White Activities Center, Kroehler Science Center and the Blue House.

Keep a lookout for these racks and make sure you follow the biking rules of the road and do not chain your bike to trees or fences or benches.

Brittany Graham, sustainability coordinator, and Emanuel Pavlopoulos, assistant to the director of campus safety for transportation, encourage bikers to properly secure your bike with a lock to one of the racks, even if you’ll be gone for just a few minutes. Theft only takes seconds to take place.
