Admission Ambassadors gear up for visit day

More than 40 Admission ambassadors are ready to conduct campus tours on Monday, Nov. 12 (Veterans Day), as part of Visit Day events for prospective new students. The Bookstore is just one stop on a tour of North Central College’s beautiful Naperville campus, along with Meiley-Swallow Hall, the Residence Hall/Recreation Center, the charming Boilerhouse Café, historic Old Main and other academic buildings, residence halls and athletic facilities.

The Visit Day program includes opportunities to learn more about student life, athletics, admission and financial aid, as well as meet with faculty members and coaches. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. in the lobby of Wentz Concert Hall and Fine Arts Center and ends with lunch in the dining hall at 12:30 p.m.

High school sophomores, juniors and seniors and their parents are welcome to attend. To register in advance, visit northcentralcollege.edu/visit. Walk-in registration is also available.

Other upcoming visit programs include an evening information session for the College’s graduate program in leadership studies on Monday, Nov. 12, and an evening information session for the Lederman Scholars program for gifted high school-aged students on Tuesday, Nov. 13. U.S. News & World Report has ranked North Central College No. 13 in the Midwest among America’s Best Colleges for 2013. The Princeton Review recently named North Central a Best Midwestern College in its annual survey of the nation’s best colleges. The Colleges of Distinction guide called North Central College “one of the best comprehensive liberal arts colleges in the nation” in its 2012-2013 listing. And Forbes magazine named North Central College among the top 25 percent of the nation’s colleges and universities, ranking it among America’s Top Colleges for 2012-2013.
