Oesterle Library features new lobby exhibits

Each term Oesterle Library presents new and timely exhibits in its lobby. Winter term’s exhibits feature the scholarship of Dr. Troy Hammond and publications by various faculty members.

Community Publications
As Dr. Troy Hammond begins his tenure as the College’s 10th president, a special exhibit will showcase his scholarship throughout his career.

Works of the following faculty are also on display in a separate exhibit:

•    Gerald Gems, professor of health and physical education. “U.S. Imperialism and Sport in Asia” in a collection of essays titled “Sports Around the World: History, Culture, and Practice,” 2012

•    Perry Hamalis, Cecelia Schneller Mueller Professor of Religion, associate professor of religious studies, director of academic opportunities. “Ethics” in “The Orthodox Christian World,” edited by Augustine Casiday, 2012

•    Ann Durkin Keating, Dr. C. Frederick Toenniges Professor of History. “Rising Up from Indian Country: The Battle of Fort Dearborn and the Birth of Chicago,” 2012

•    Matthew Kirkpatrick, assistant professor of English. “Light without Heat: Stories,” a collection of short stories, 2012
