Apr 03, 2013
All students—including paraprofessionals, student workers, student organization leaders and anyone interested in leadership—are invited to attend a two-day Student Leadership Conference held on campus Friday and Saturday, April 5-6.
Admission is free; advance registration is online.
The two-day schedule is posted online, starting with Friday’s opening session at 6 p.m. in Wentz Concert Hall, through Saturday’s breakfast and showcase starting at 8 a.m. in Wentz Concert Hall lobby, series of workshops and lunch in Madden Theatre. The conference will end at 1 p.m. President Troy Hammond will welcome students during breakfast and the showcase.
Among the speakers of the 20 sessions are North Central’s deans of students, staff members, alumni, and education, music and theatre faculty; administrators from area colleges; and representatives from community organizations like the NAACP and nonprofit service groups. Each will address a different topic that explores ways to develop, utilize and exercise leadership in any vocation.
