Mark White earns Outstanding Major in Communication Award

Mark White, son of Mary and Steven White, of North Aurora, Ill., was awarded the Outstanding Major in Communication Award during Honors Day May 14 at North Central College.

A senior, Mark has a double major in speech communication and psychology at North Central College. He is a graduate of Aurora West High School.

A member of the College’s award-winning debate team, Mark competed at the 2013 Illinois Intercollegiate Forensics Association State Tournament and won State Champion in two categories. He and a fellow North Central student were named the State Champion Debate Team and they also tied as State Champion Individual Debaters. One year earlier at the same event, he took second place in Parliamentary Debate.
