Jennifer Sallee joins North Central’s biology faculty in fall 2013

North Central College has appointed five new tenure-track faculty members for the 2013-2014 academic year, which begins Sept. 16. Among those new faculty are Assistant Professor of Biology Jennifer Sallee.  

Previously, Sallee was a postdoctoral National Research Service Award fellow, funded by the National Institutes of Health, at Duke University, where she also taught, developed curriculum and mentored students. She held a pre-doctoral fellowship from the American Heart Association and pre-doctoral traineeship award with the Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program. She holds a B.S. in biology from Roger Williams University and a Ph.D. in cell biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
