Marco Martinez joins North Central’s mathematics faculty in fall 2013

North Central College has appointed five new tenure-track faculty members for the 2013-2014 academic year, which begins Sept. 16. Among those new faculty are Assistant Professor of Mathematics Marco Martinez.  

Previously, Martinez served as a graduate research assistant and graduate teaching associate at the University of Tennessee and as a lecturer at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia. He’s taught courses in biomathematics, calculus for science, mathematics for life sciences and more. He holds a B.S. in biology and a B.S in mathematics from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and an M.S in statistics and Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
