Macek receives media attention about his talk

Steve Macek, North Central College associate professor of speech communication and coordinator of urban and suburban studies, gave a talk Jan. 30 at the monthly meeting of the Naperville Township Democratic Organization. His talk focused on the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) and its political influence “aimed at fighting workers’ rights, doing away with a living wage and taking public properties into the private sector” as reported by the news source.

Macek has been a member of North Central’s faculty since 2002. He received his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
