Students of various majors present their work in Photo Club exhibit

North Central College presents “Capture Photo Club Student Exhibition,” featuring the work of North Central’s Photo Club members.
The free exhibit runs March 13-April 6 in the College’s Oesterle Library Gallery, 320 E. School St. Meet the artists during a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 23, in the gallery. Light refreshments will be served.
“Capture Photo Club Student Exhibition” is a collection of photography by students across North Central’s campus. The work represents the diverse majors, interests and talents among the students, highlighting the beauty in nature, travels abroad and everyday interactions. The exhibition is a hallmark display of the artistic vision at North Central College.
Ian Hilton, a junior and president of the Photo Club, will curate the show. The participating artists are seniors Deepayan Bose and Heather Placko; juniors Elizabeth Composto, Taylor Harrison, Jacek Mikolajczyk, Kiley Riggio, Stephanie Snyder, Brittany Spitzer and Ashley Swanson; sophomores Lauren Denler, Caitlin Farmer, Xanic Lopez and Audrey Weaver; freshmen Sarah Kott, Cassidy Roberts and Jacob Schmidt; and international student Fatlum Gashi.

Art students at North Central College learn traditional and contemporary media; engage in analytical, critical and abstract thinking; and learn to communicate ideas visually. Students attend gallery and museum openings and exhibits in Naperville and Chicago, meet visiting artists, enter juried exhibitions and gain an academic foundation for graduate study in studio art, art education, art history, art therapy, arts administration, art criticism and visual communications.
