Spring term contemplative series begins April 9

North Central College’s department of religious studies invites students, faculty and staff to attend any or all of the series of events during spring term focusing on the contemplative dimension of human experience. Short presentations by practitioners from diverse traditions will be followed by contemplative exercises; participation in the exercises is entirely optional.
The following events will take place in Smith Hall, Old Main:
• Mindfulness Meditation: Wednesdays, April 9 and 30, at 4 p.m., led by Stephanie Franz from Joy Meditation
• Buddhist Meditation: Thursday, April 17, at 12:15 p.m., led Dorje Kelsang from Vajrayana Buddhist Center
• Hindu Meditation: Wednesday, April 23, at 4 p.m., led by Swami Varadananda, from Vedanta Society Chicago, Homer Glen
