May 05, 2014
North Central College junior Katelyn Emricson has been selected as a finalist in Photographer’s Forum 34th annual College & High School Photography Contest.
Emricson, an interactive media studies major and marketing minor from Woodstock, Ill., submitted photographs that were selected from more than 16,600 entries from students around the world. The photo was originally taken for an assignment in her Digital Photography class (ART 205), an IMS course.
The contest, sponsored by Nikon, U.S.A., awards more than $11,500 in cash grants to winners, along with photography equipment. All winners, honorable mentions and finalists will be included in the Forum’s hardcover book “Best of College & High School Photography 2014.” They can be viewed online in the Winners Gallery at pfmagazine.com.
This year’s judges included Christopher Broughton, Brooks Institute; Ann Cutting, Art Center College of Design; and William Snyder, Rochester Institute of Technology.
