Nine faculty receive tenure, promotions

At its May 2014 meeting, the North Central College Board of Trustees granted tenure and approved promotions to several faculty members effective with the start of the 2014-2015 academic year in September. These faculty are:

    Diane Anstine, Ph.D., was promoted to professor of economics

    Michael de Brauw, Ph.D., was granted tenure and promoted to associate professor of classics

    Shereen Ilahi, Ph.D., was granted tenure and promoted to associate professor of history

    Wendy Koenig, Ph.D., was granted tenure

    Maureen Kincaid, Ed.D., was promoted to professor of education

    Sarah Lureau, CPA, was granted tenure and promoted to associate professor of accounting

    Stephen Macek, Ph.D., was promoted to professor of speech communication

    William Muck, Ph.D., was granted tenure and promoted to associate professor of political science

    Patricia Schacht, Ph.D., was granted tenure and promoted to associate professor of psychology

      The Board also approved emeritus status for David Fisher, Ph.D., professor of philosophy, who will be formally awarded the emeritus status at North Central’s 149th Commencement on June 14.
