Clara Hur earns Outstanding Major in Japanese Award

Clara Hur, daughter of Joe and Francesca Hur of Fox River Grove, was awarded the Outstanding Major in Japanese Award during Honors Day May 13 at North Central College in Naperville.

A senior, Clara is a double major in Japanese and East Asian studies at North Central College. She is a graduate of Palatine High School.

Clara has studied abroad in Kyoto, Japan, and in Seoul, Korea. Fluent in Korean, she also studies the Japanese and Chinese languages. Clara hopes to pursue graduate studies and work with the Japanese Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme after she graduates from North Central.

Her name has regularly appeared on the Dean’s List.
