Danielle Spence earns Outstanding Major in Journalism Award

Danielle Spence, daughter of James and Sandra Spence of Naperville, was awarded the Outstanding Major in Journalism Award during Honors Day May 13 at North Central College in Naperville.

A senior, Danielle is majoring in English: print journalism at North Central College. She is a graduate of Naperville Central High School.

Danielle is editor-in-chief of North Central’s award-winning student newspaper, The Chronicle. In addition, Danielle has completed a writing internship with a local nonprofit organization and worked with a group of students to launch ncclinked.com, an award-winning website focused on the North Central community.

Her name has regularly appeared on the Dean’s List.
