Jordan Pilgrim earns two awards at 2014 Honors Convocation

Jordan Pilgrim, son of David and Naddene Pilgrim of Fairbury, Ill., was recognized with two awards—the Outstanding Major in Finance and the Outstanding Major in Actuarial Science—during Honors Day May 13 at North Central College in Naperville.

A senior, Jordan has a triple major in actuarial science, economics and finance with a minor in computer science at North Central College. He is a graduate of Prairie Central High School.

He’s a member of the mathematics honor society Pi Mu Epsilon, the economics honor society Omicron Delta Epsilon, and the Financial Management Association honor society for finance. Jordan is a member of the Math Club and a tutor at EDGE, the College’s structured studies program. He held two internships while a student, at State Farm and Allstate, and landed a position with Allstate as an actuarial analyst after graduation.

In addition to his academic work and leadership on campus, Jordan coached a youth baseball team while working toward passing three of the required actuarial exams.

His name has regularly appeared on the Dean’s List.
