Margaret Wieczorek earns two awards at 2014 Honors Convocation

Margaret Wieczorek, daughter of Daniel and Patricia Wieczorek of Peru, received two awards—the Outstanding Major in Mathematics and the Outstanding Student in the Division of Science—during Honors Convocation May 13 at North Central College in Naperville.

A senior, Margaret is majoring in mathematics and in French. She will be pursuing her Ph.D. in mathematics at the University of Tennessee in the fall. She is a graduate of LaSalle-Peru Township High School.

A College Scholar and recipient of the Arlo Schilling Presidential Scholarship, Margaret has presented original research at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research and North Central’s Rall Symposium for Undergraduate Research. Her honors thesis was titled “Effectiveness of Course Offerings Using Graph Theory.” Her name has regularly appeared on the Dean’s List.
