Michael Holler earns Outstanding Major in Computer Science Award

Michael Holler, son of James and Teresa Holler of Plainfield was awarded the Outstanding Major in Computer Science Award during Honors Convocation May 13 at North Central College in Naperville.

A senior, Michael is majoring in computer science at North Central College. He has accepted an offer to work full time with PhysIQ after graduation. He is a graduate of Plainfield South High School.

A College Scholar and president of the Computer Science Club, Michael competed with the College’s award-winning team in the 2014 Associated Colleges of the Chicagoland Area (ACCA) computer programming competition. His thesis, titled “Automated Textbook Indexing With Naïve Bayes Classifier Trained on Wikipedia Articles,” was presented at North Central’s Rall Symposium for Undergraduate Research.

His name has regularly appeared on the Dean’s List.
