Nathan Schweitzer earns Outstanding Major in Physics Award

Nathan Schweitzer, son of Michael and Donna Schweitzer of Bloomington, was awarded the Outstanding Major in Physics Award during Honors Convocation May 13 at North Central College in Naperville.

A senior, Nathan majored in physics at North Central College and will complete the dual-degree program in mechanical engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a graduate of University High School.

A physics scholarship recipient (Dr. Robert H. Good Scholar and Robert Prussing Arnold Scholar), Nathan also played football as a linebacker for North Central College. He participated in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and was a member of the football honor society and National College Athlete Honor Society. He also is an Academic All-CCIW (College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) honoree.

His name has regularly appeared on the Dean’s List.
