Tyler Ward earns Outstanding Major in Religious Studies Award

Tyler Ward, son of Anthony and Stephanie Ward of Sherrard, Ill., was awarded the Outstanding Major in Religious Studies Award during Honors Convocation May 13 at North Central College in Naperville.
A junior, Tyler is majoring in religious studies at North Central College. He is a graduate of Hesston High School.
Tyler was awarded a Richter Independent Study Fellowship to conduct research at Canterbury Christ Church University in Canterbury, England. The research was for his project, titled “A Study of Contemporary Wesleyan Societies in Britain,” which he presented at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research and at North Central’s Rall Symposium for Undergraduate Research.
Also, Tyler was part of a delegation of students who traveled to Washington, D.C., to attend the Ecumenical Advocacy Days 2013 National Gathering.
His name has regularly appeared on the Dean’s List.
