North Central College alumnus named pastor of Methodist congregation in Michigan

The Rev. Dr. Douglas Ralston, a 1971 graduate of North Central College, has been named pastor of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Dearborn, Mich.
Ralston grew up in Monroe, Mich. and attended Ida High School. He played baseball and football in high school and college, the Press and Guide newspaper reported.
At North Central College he majored in speech and theatre. He earned a master of divinity degree from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio and a doctor of ministry degree from Ecumenical Theological Seminary.
He previously served at St. Clair Shores Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, LaSalle Zion United Methodist Church, Lambertville United Methodist Church and Metropolitan United Methodist in Detroit.
