Registration underway for North Central’s fall noncredit courses
Jul 30, 2014
Registration has started for North Central College’s fall Community Noncredit Program. Courses on a variety of subjects are offered from early September through December and designed for children to adults.
“It’s a great time to start planning for fall with our catalog now available in homes and online,” says Deanna Taylor, the College’s Community Education program director. “From one-day business workshops to ongoing classes with topics on computers, health, wellness, languages and lectures, you can find just about any topic of interest during the evening and weekends.”
People interested in developing their artistic talents may consider the College’s Piano, Voice and String Academy, taught by experienced teachers and professional musicians. Both youth and adults will have opportunities to showcase their talents and be involved in classes that benefit them professionally and personally.
For the career-oriented, North Central offers professional development training for employees and managers, as well as entrepreneurship and career development. Computer courses include basic to advanced instruction on Microsoft Word and Excel and website development using Drupal.
Additional courses feature digital photography, health and nutrition, ballroom and swing dance, sign language, home design, creative writing, mindfulness meditation and residential architecture. A variety of language courses are offered for youth and adults, with some courses for youngsters as early as age 2 and 3.
