Madormo’s second novel for young readers among best children’s books for 2014

John Madormo, North Central College assistant professor of broadcast communication and general manager of WONC-FM 89.1, was recently recognized by the Bank Street College of Education in New York City for one of his children’s books.

Bank Street College named Madormo’s second novel for young readers in the Charlie Collier, Snoop for Hire series, titled “The Camp Phoenix Caper,” to its list of The Best Children’s Books of the Year, 2014 Edition, ages 9-12, in the Fiction, Adventure and Mystery category.

In 2013, Madormo’s first novel in the series, “The Homemade Stuffing Caper,” made the list of the Best Children’s Books, ages 9-12, for the same year.
