Elise Percy joins North Central’s psychology faculty in fall 2014

North Central College welcomed Assistant Professor of Psychology Elise Percy, a newly appointed full-time, tenure-track faculty member for the 2014-2015 academic year, which started Sept. 15.

Previously, Percy was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Western Ontario. Her areas of expertise include social psychology, social cognition, counterfactual thinking, blame, language and thought, stereotyping and prejudice. She’s taught courses in research methods and assisted with introduction to statistical methods, psychology, and the psychology of crime, culpability and punishment courses.

She earned a B.A. in psychology from Simpson College and a Ph.D. in social psychology from Indiana University.
