2014 Athletic Hall of Fame: Tim Ehlebracht ’80, four-sport athlete
Sep 25, 2014
During Homecoming 2014, North Central College will induct Tim Ehlebracht ’80 into the Athletic Hall of Fame on Oct. 18.
A letter-winner in four sports—baseball, track and field, football and basketball—Ehlebracht had one of the most diverse and successful careers in school history. He was an All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) selection in two sports and the first All-American in the history of the North Central baseball program. After his collegiate career, Ehlebracht pursued professional football and was one of the few Cardinals to advance to the upper level of professional team sports. His efforts paid off in 1981 when he was offered a two-year contract as an undrafted free agent with the Chicago Bears.
