“American Idol” and “The X Factor” contestant talks about cyberbullying

Musician Jillian Jensen, “American Idol” and “The X Factor” contestant, comes to North Central College April 21 to give an acoustic performance and present a talk titled “My Journey to Overcome Cyberbullying.” This free event is open to the campus and local community.

The two-hour event takes place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, in the College’s Pfeiffer Hall, 310 E. Benton Ave. In addition to performing, discussing her experiences of being bullied, and sharing bullying prevention and support, Jensen will answer questions and greet members of the audience. Cosponsors of the event are North Central College’s Dyson Wellness Center and Linden Oaks at Edward Hospital.

Singer-songwriter Jensen has been singing since age 2 and writing/composing her own music since age 8. She has released two albums of all original work and has written more than 100 songs. She appeared on the singing competition shows “The X Factor” in 2012 and “American Idol” XIII in 2014. Jensen released in 2014 her first single, “In Your Arms,” which is also a bonus track off her album “Stages” released on iTunes last year.
