North Central College’s Office of Career Development encourages graduating seniors to participate in a free webinar April 22 that will offer tips on securing employment.
Alumni seeking job search advice also are invited to participate in the online presentation at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22. Participates may participate from any desktop computer, tablet or mobile device by visiting gradstaff.com/Job-Search-Strategies.html.
Pre-registration is required; click here to register. Contact jschlaikjer@gradstaff.com for more information. The webinar will be replayed on the GradStaff website within 48 hours of the live presentation.
The webinar is intended for college seniors who have delayed their searches for post-graduation employment, those who have been unsuccessful to date in on-campus interviewing and those undecided about pursuing graduate school.
GradStaff CEO Bob LaBombard will offer advice about what industries to look at and how to tailor previous experience to a variety of positions. He will be joined by Melissa Gurewitz, a GradStaff account manager, who will talk about her own job search and offer tips on identifying transferrable skills and career interests, demographic trends, comparing large and smaller-sized employers, target industries and more. The webinar will conclude with an opportunity for participants to ask questions of the presenters.
