Martinez coauthored and published a paper in research journal

Marco V. Martinez, North Central College assistant professor of mathematics, coauthored a paper that has been published in Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems (DCDS) – Series B, a research journal of the American Institute of Mathematical Sciences.

The DCDS-B is focused on the interdisciplinary interactions between mathematical modeling, analysis and scientific computations and covers chemical, engineering, physical and life sciences.

Published in the August issue but accessible online, the paper is titled “Optimal control of integrodifference equations in a pest-pathogen system.” Coauthors with Martinez are Suzanne Lenhart, professor of mathematics at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and K. A. Jane White, senior lecturer of applied mathematics at the University of Bath, United Kingdom.
