Drew French ’15 earns Outstanding Major in Art Award

Drew French, son of Mili and Robert French of Sugar Grove, was awarded the Outstanding Major in Art during Honors Day in May at North Central College.  

A senior, Drew majored in studio art and marketing with a minor in art history at North Central College. His name has regularly appeared on the Dean’s List of scholars. He is a graduate of Kaneland High School.

Drew was a member of North Central College’s American Marketing Association. As an artist, he exhibited and coordinated a number of art exhibits on campus. Drew showcased a series of 2-dimensional sculptural paintings at the Senior Art Show, titled “Perspectives,” along with nine other students. He was a featured artist in two- and three-person art shows, with pieces ranging from drawings to mixed media. Drew held two internships at art museums, serving as a gallery assistant.

With plans to pursue graduate school, he would like to work as a gallery director.
