Eva Shinikova ’15 earns Outstanding Major in Finance Award

Eva Shinikova ’15, daughter of Radoslav and Silviya Shinkova of Aurora, was awarded the Outstanding Major in Finance Award during Honors Day in May at North Central College.

Eva, who graduated from North Central College in June, majored in actuarial science, finance and economics. She is a graduate of Downers Grove South High School.

Eva speaks English as a second language, having immigrated to the United States from Bulgaria at age 16. While at North Central she worked as a mathematics tutor for elementary and middle school math students and completed internships relevant to her majors. After graduation she began her career with Allstate Insurance with her dream job as an actuary. She consistently earned honors on the College’s Dean’s List.
