Jane McCullough earns Outstanding Major in Biochemistry Award

Jane McCullough ’15, daughter of Joseph and Sheila McCullough of Bloomington, was awarded the Outstanding Major in Biochemistry Award during Honors Day in May at North Central College.

Jane graduated in June from North Central College with a major in biochemistry and minor in Spanish. She is a graduate of University High School.

At North Central, Jane was president of the Pre-Health Organization and vice president of the biology honors society Beta Beta Beta. Jane presented research she conducted with a North Central professor and another student at the Genetics Society of America Drosophila Research Conference in Chicago. Jane was a lab assistant and preceptor for several classes and worked with the College’s EDGE tutoring program. Her name regularly appeared on the Dean’s List of scholars.

Jane is pursuing a doctor of pharmacy degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy, a nationally ranked program.
