Michael Riggio earns Outstanding Major in Physical Education Award

Michael Riggio ’15, son of Daniel and Cyndi Riggio of Elgin, was awarded the Outstanding Major in Physical Education Award during Honors Day in May at North Central College.

Michael majored in physical education at North Central College. He is a graduate of Elgin High School.

At North Central, Michael was the vice president of the Physical Education Council of Students and a member of Teaching PE, a student-based group that designs and participates in presentations at the DuPage County PE and Health Institute Day.

Michael was also an active member of both the men’s baseball and football teams at North Central. His name has regularly appeared on the Dean’s List. Michael is student teaching fall 2015 and aspires to return to his high school alma mater, Elgin High School, to teach physical education and coach.
