Tiffany Tindell ’15, daughter of Michael and Cara Tindell of Montgomery, was honored with two awards during Honors Day in May at North Central College. Those awards included the Outstanding Major in History and the Outstanding Student in the Human Thought and Behavior Division.

Tiffany graduated in June from North Central, majoring in history and anthropology with a minor in German. She is a graduate of Oswego East High School.

At North Central, Tiffany was a member of the College Scholar Honors program and the Lambda Alpha national anthropology honor society. Her name regularly appeared on the Dean’s List of scholars, and she completed an honors thesis as a culmination of three years of fieldwork and scholarship.

Her sophomore year, Tiffany received funding from the Paul K. and Elizabeth Cook Richter Trusts and traveled to five German cities as part of her research. She presented her research at three North Central College Rall Symposiums for Undergraduate Research and at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research.

She held an internship at Chicago’s Field Museum and volunteered with the curatorial department at Naper Settlement Museum, an outdoor historic park in Naperville.

Tiffany plans to pursue a career as a museum curator in a Native American museum. She was accepted to museum studies programs at her top three choices for graduate school.
