Contemplative series continues through winter term

Jan 25, 2016

North Central College’s department of religious studies invites students, faculty and staff to attend any or all of the series of events this winter focusing on the contemplative dimension of human experience. The events take place Jan. 28 and Feb. 16 and 23.

Short presentations by practitioners from diverse traditions will be followed by contemplative exercises; participation in the exercises is entirely optional. Here’s the lineup of events:

•    Mindfulness Meditation: 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, in Smith Hall at Old Main. Speaker: Stephanie Frantz from Joy Meditation on her views of the benefits of meditating
