Jun 08, 2016
Patricia Schacht, North Central College associate professor of psychology, gave a talk in April at Northern Illinois University as part of the school’s Psychology Brown Bag series for faculty and graduate students in psychology.
Her talk was titled “The interactions between home and school: How relationships at home can impact children’s relationships at school.” Specifically, Schacht studies the impact of parenting and marital conflict on children’s peer relationships. Her recent research has focused on how different types of parenting styles may impact how children cope with bullying situations.
