Dan Vitale started with North Central College in 2018, after teaching adjunct at North Central College and full time at another college for the past 6 years.  He has 30 years of experience in public accounting assisting closely-held businesses and high income, high net-worth individuals with their individual taxes including tax planning, tax return preparation and accounting services   Dan started his career with Ernst & Young (Arthur Young) in the Entrepreneurial Services Group.  From 1994 to 1995, he did a rotation in Ernst & Young's National Tax Office in Washington DC.  In 1999, Dan opened a CPA firm that grew to approximately 20 employees including 4 partners.  He continues to consult with closely-held businesses and high income, high net-worth individuals. During his career, he has aligned himself with some of the top financial advisors, attorneys and bankers in the Chicagoland area.    

Professor Vitale has a passion for accounting and taxation, and strives to make it more understandable for his students by weaving his real world experiences into lectures and assignments.
