Kelli Ling is a halftime professor of introductory communication at North Central College in Naperville, IL, as well as a course developer/adjunct lecturer in health communication at Simmons University, Boston, MA. She has taught at both public and private tertiary institutions, and her research interests include examining the role of social determinants of health and transcultural communication in addressing complex social issues. She is a doctoral candidate (Education) at Northeastern University, Boston. Ling's recent qualitative research on the benefits of expanding gender diversity studies in schools and the constructs of culture and communications in understanding Japanese American internment experiences were published in scholarly journals and presented at international conference forums. She was also selected to present research and Social Constructivism Theory related to communications and health inequities on marginalized populations at the RISE 2024 Conference at Northeastern. She really enjoys teaching and working with college-aged students!
