Linda Ogden Hagen, Adjunct Associate Professor of Voice and Coordinator of Vocal Studies, has enjoyed a performance career in oratorio, opera, chamber and solo recital. In the Chicago area she has been a featured soprano soloist with the DuPage Symphony Orchestra, the Naperville Chorus and Festival Orchestra, the Downer’s Grove Choral Society, the Fox Valley Symphony, as well as the Oak Park-River Forest Symphony and Chorus and the Chicago Baroque Ensemble. Performed works include the Poulenc Gloria, Mendelssohn’s Elijah and Hymn of Praise, the Bach Magnificat, Mozart’s Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, the Brahms Requiem, Haydn’s Mass in B Major and Schubert’s Mass in G. In opera, she has appeared with the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Chicago and the DuPage Opera Theatre in productions of The Barber of Seville, H.M.S. Pinafore and Die Fledermaus. Accompanied by collaborative pianist Barbara Vanderwall, Ms. Ogden Hagen has presented numerous recitals at North Central College and has appeared on recital series at Joliet Junior College, the First United Methodist Church in Palatine, area libraries, and at Cantigny Museum and Gardens. She has also been featured in a one-woman show portraying Lillian Russell.
In addition to her studio teaching, Ms. Ogden Hagen is a frequent adjudicator and workshop presenter. She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and has served as president and board member of the Chicago chapter. She has also served on the board of directors of the DuPage Symphony, coordinating their yearly Young Artist Auditions.
