Marci J. Swede, PhD is the Dean of the School of Education and Health Sciences, and Professor of Health Sciences. Her research focuses on the cellular stress response in yeast, and in health professional education, with a focus on Relationship-centered care and Narrative Medicine. Marci was selected to join the Fulbright Specialists Roster with expertise in health professional education.
Marci was the inaugural faculty member of the Omicron Delta Kappa leadership honor society and a member of the Alpha Eta health professional honor society, at Long University, Post. In addition, Marci was a featured contributor in the "Ask an Expert" column in Smore Magazine, 2017, which serves to encourage girls and all children to get excited by science.
