Rachel Pridgen serves as the Director for Student Involvement and Transition programs at North Central College. Working in Higher Education since 2006, Pridgen joined the Cardinal family in 2016 and leads a team that coordinates many areas within student development, including Orientation/First Year Programming, Commuter Student Services, Student Organizations, Parent and Family Engagement and Signature Student Programming. Pridgen is certified in Gallup Strengths Finder and Myers Briggs Type Indicator and has presented to students, alumni and corporations about discovering their own leadership capabilities and maximizing that in the workplace. She has a passion for student development, leadership development and program creation who looks to provide opportunities for students to connect and belong with the campus community.
Prior to North Central College, Pridgen was the Associate Director of Career Services and Alumni Engagement at Northwestern University, Assistant Director of Student Life at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and Student Involvement Coordinator at Dominican University. Pridgen is an active member of the National Orientation Directors Association (NODA) and NASPA: Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education and continues to be an engaged alumna for both Loyola University Chicago and St. Norbert College where she received her masters degree and bachelors degree, respectively.
